Wondering where your taxes are going? Apparently to the dogs. The Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded $210,000 to Maine Stitching Specialties. They are known for producing dog accessories for their “Dog Not Gone” line which includes leashes, collars, and a dog vest that they boast is “considered by many dog owners to be the finest product available today.” At least the dogs are comfortable though right? So while you’re out there working hard, it seems as though the federal government has once again screwed the pooch with your tax dollars.
