Piñata Appreciation Day

Following riots in Baltimore, the federal government decided it was worthwhile to award a $20,000 grant ““to support an apprenticeship program and a series of public events celebrating the piñata.” This grant was given for the express purpose “to “train apprentices and the public in piñata construction and its use.” Look, we love piñatas as much as the next person and breaking them can truly be therapeutic but there has got to be a better way for taxpayers’ money to be used.
